  2. How do I amend an advert?

    Login to your account.

    You will then be presented with a list of your current adverts with clear options to "edit", "delete" or "extend" your listings. Simply click the preferred option and follow the online instructions.

  3. How do I amend my contact details?

    Boatsandchandlery.com is brough to you by Premier Marinas Ltd, as such the user name and password you have been given will work for both websites.

    If you would like to amend your account information, for example your e-mail, phone number or address or perhaps change your password. You will need to login to www.premiermarinas.com/pages/login and adjust your details on the following page www.premiermairnas.com/pages/your_profile.

  5. How do I post an advert?

    • To post an advert you must be logged into the site.

    • Once you are logged in click "place an advert" You will then be given the option of posting "chandlery" or "boat" advert. Please select.

    • You will then be presented with a form to fill in

    • Enter details as appropriate

    (please note that some of these fields are mandatory, these are the basic details needed to ensure that your advert will be found easily on the site - for example, you must include at least a short description of the item for sale)

    (If you cannot find your chandlery or boat type, or model in the drop down list - please select "other")

    • You are then able to upload, up to 6 images of your item for sale. These images must be no larger than 2MB (but no smaller than 475 pixels wide by 335 pixels high). If you need help with resizing the images, please send them to becky.dawson@premiermarinas.com

    • Make sure you have read and accepted the terms and conditions by checking the box

    • Make sure that you have a valid e-mail address displayed in the "contact details" section

    • Press "submit advert"

  6. How do I register/login?

    Boatsandchandlery.com is a website brought to you by Premier Marinas Ltd. If you are already registered with Premiermarinas.com you will not need to register again. Simply login using your existing Premiermarinas.com username and password. If you are not sure what these are, please go to forgotten password and follow instructions.


    If you are not a registered user of Premiermarinas.com then please click here to register.

    The username and password you select can then be used to access both sites.

    • Go to the "boats" page. Either; browse the "featured boats" listed here (these are a selection of the most recently posted adverts)
    • Or; use the 3 filter options to the left hand side of the page - "make, type or Region" to refine the advert listings
    • Or; use the "Key word search" - try and keep search terms simple, i.e. "moody"
    • Once you have the results displayed you are able to sort the adverts by "make", "price", "region" or "posting date" simply by clicking these column headings.

  9. How do I search for chandlery?

    • Go to the "chandlery" page
    • Either; browse the "featured chandlery" adverts listed here (these are a selection of the most recently posted adverts)
    • Or; filter the results using the chandlery categories displayed on the left hand side of the page
    • Or; use the "keyword search" - try to keep search terms simple, i.e "deck shoes"
    • Once you have the results displayed you are able to sort the adverts by "make", "price", "region" or "posting date" simply by clicking these column headings.

  10. How long will my advert remain listed for?

    Your advert will be listed on the site for 30 days. You will be sent a reminder e-mail towards the end of this period, telling you that your advert is about to expire, giving you the option to renew if your item is still available, or delete if you have sold your item!

    You are able to post 6 images per advert.

  12. How many items may I post on Boatsandchandlery.com at a time?

    There is no limit to how many items you may place for sale on Boatsandchandlery.com.

    For this reason we would encourage you to post items separately. For example, if you have a life jacket, a dinghy and some fenders to sell, create 3 separate adverts and post them under the relevant categories. This will make your adverts much easier to find.

  14. I am a Company, may I advertise my products or services on boatsandchandlery.com?

    As a company, you will be able to list individual items for sale. If the item advertised is being sold for more than £500, you will be charged at £25 per listing per 30 days.

    Generic company adverts are not allowed on the site, if found, they will be removed.

  15. I have sold my item, how do I remove my advert?

    Log in to your account with your user name and e-mail and you will be able to delete your advert from view.

    If you would like to advertise an item that does not  obviously fit into any of the chandlery or boat categories listed, then please select the "other" option. We will monitor the categories over time to make sure they accurately reflect what is being advertised on the site.

  18. What is boatsandchandlery.com?

    We figured that amongst people within the marine community there must be a great deal of unused boating equipment sat around that could still be enjoyed by someone else, perhaps someone new to the sport?

    With Boatsandchandlery.com we wanted to give people the opportunity to sell and buy from one another making the most of the lifestyle and community aspects of sailing and other water sports.

    Simply post an advert on Boatsandchandlery.com, set the price and wait for the offers to come rolling in! As an extension of the Premiermarinas.com website, your advert will instantly be given an audience of around 20,000 people using our online services.

  19. What size do my advert images need to be?

    Your images will automatically be adjusted to the required size as you upload them. However, it's best not to try and use really large images as they will take a long time upload.

    You will not be able to upload images bigger than 4MB but images must be at least 473 pixels wide by 335 pixels high.

    If you are unsure as to what size your image is - or are having problems resizing an image, please forward it to becky.dawson@premiermarinas.com and we will resize the image and post it on the site for you.
